My African Instrument.

Picture
My instrument is a Musical Pot that was made in Africa in 1983. It is for when people go to womwns dances, wedding ceremonies and gymnastic events. Some cultural symbols on it are the lines that go up and down. Also the big round hole at the top, they have lines gooing across and around the ring hole. I want to know why they have those lines on it. Does it represent their culture. This reminds me of when I went to my cousins gymnastics event and she did good and she got a prize and it was shaped like that and it had lines but it was not this instrument.

My instrument before decorated.

My instrument is a drum/shaker. You play by shaking to make it into shaker and you take a drumstick and hit the lid to turn it into a drum. I used a colgers coffee container and three water bottles with construction paper over the bottles and the colgers container.

Music Composition.
